Genetic Characteristics

Genetics is the study of the way living things pass characteristics to their offspring. Examples of some of those inherited traits are size, color, blood type, and weight. These are determined by genes that are present in the cells of all organisms. Genes determine most physical traits like body build, color of eyes and other inherited traits like color blindness and various diseases.

An Augustinian monk named Gregor Mendel, born in 1822 in the town of Heinzendorf, Austria, discovered the principals of genetics during the 1860's. His theories, proven today, said that there are two genes for each trait, one inherited from each parent. They can be the same trait or different. If they are different, one can be dominant and will be seen in the organism. If the gene is recessive, the effect is hidden and therefore not seen in the organism.

Different Traits of People

As we all know different people have different Traits and/or Characteristics. Their Characteristics differ in their Race or in their Nationality.
Japanese people tend to have a longer/oval facial structure with wider/larger eyes and more pronounced noses. Japanese women often put on thick makeup giving them a pale white complexion.
Chinese people tend to have rounder faces than both Korean and Japanese people. China is a huge multi-ethnic country unlike Korea and Japan (which are more ethnically homogeneous) making it much harder to differentiate or generalize.
Korean people tend to have flatter faces with higher/squarer cheek bones and smaller eyes with single eyelids (opposed to double). A high proportion of Korean women have had
cosmetic surgery somewhat confusing things.
• As for Filipinos, they say that Ancient Filipinos are short, flat-nosed and dark-skinned but the Filipinos nowadays have mixed with other Races because they marry Foreigners but the Genetic Characteristics of Filipinos nowadays are Tan or Brown in Color, have curly hair and Short in Height.

Although I’ve found the above a fairly reliable definition trying to guess based on facial structure alone seems to be pretty hit-and-miss in reality. The success rate greatly increases when you included other observable indicators such as name, language, behavior, hairstyle and clothing. According to more scientific studies both East Asians and Caucasians are more easily identifiable by facial features than others.

As for my Genetic Characteristics I have a Natural Curly hair, fair complexion, and a Dark brown Eyes that I Inherited from my Father who have a Foreign Blood in him. All of my Siblings Inherited our Genetic Attribute from our Father, as we Say in Filipino "Malakas ang dugo ng Tatay". We did not inherited much of our Physical Attribute from our Mother. Our Mother is Dark skinned while we are white skinned. But I guess I inherited from my Mother my nose which is Flat and my Height which is Short.
