Major Life Events

Throughout our lives we will experience many different things, both good and bad. Certain situations are unique or we may not have had previous experience of them and won't know what to do.As for me there would be many Life events that I have encountered.

First would be the Day that I was born. But of course I literaly don't remember anything about it. But it was my First major Life event. If I wasn't born, I wouldn't experience the things that I do experience now.If I wasn't born i would not meet all the person that I have met until now. I wouldn't be able to go to school and all.

Another major Life event was when my siblings were born. I do not remember much about it but Pictures do the Justice for me. It was fun to have siblings, but sometimes we just can't help it but we Fight. Especially now that my Brother(the one whose next to me) is now 12 years old and the youngest is already 7 years old. We do fight alot now. But its just normal for Siblings to Fight sometimes.

 When we were Young

Another Life event was when I graduated from Pre-school. When I was in pre-school I experience to joined different Dance Numbers because my Mother wants me to join in it. And then I graduated in Elementary. I have Experienced many things when I was in elementary.

The Next major Life event for me is that I just Graduated recently from Highschool. I have Experienced alot of Things in Highschool. I have tried to cut class when I was in Highschool. For me Highschool Is very much Fun really. It's alot different from college. I have Experienced Many Many things that I haven't thought that I would experience totally.I have met alot of friends and I learned How to Mingle with Different kinds of people.

For a time back then I thought that I would not Graduate that Time. I really did not study back then. I really prayed that I hope I would Graduate because I want My Parents to be Proud of ME. And I made them proud, I will admit that I did not Graduate with Flying Colors but atleast I graduated.:)

For now that I am in College my Priorities is to Graduate. I really hope so. I would do my best to Graduate and have a Good Job. I have Many plans for my Family that's why i'll do my best to graduate.

Nature versus Nurture

Psychologically speaking the Nature versus Nurture debate is one of the oldest issues in psychology. The debate centers on the relative contributions of genetic inheritance and environmental factors to human development. Some philosophers such as Plato and Descartes suggested that certain things are inborn, or that they simply occur naturally regardless of environmental influences. Other well-known thinkers such as John Locke believed in what is known as tabula rasa, which suggests that the mind begins as a blank slate. According to this notion, everything that we are and all of our knowledge is determined by our experience.
Nature versus nurture in its modern sense was coined by the English Victorian polymath Francis Galton in discussion of the influence of heredity and environment on social advancement, although the terms had been contrasted previously, for example by Shakespeare (in his play, The Tempest: 4.1). Galton was influenced by the book On the Origin of Species written by his cousin, Charles Darwin. The concept embodied in the phrase has been criticized for its binary simplification of two tightly interwoven parameters, as for example an environment of wealth, education and social privilege are often historically passed to genetic offspring.

Nature versus Nurture Theory

My stand when it comes to Nature versus Nurture Debate is that I do agree to Both. Nature endows us with inborn abilities and traits that we may have inherited from our Parents or Relatives while Nurture takes these genetic traits and molds them as we learn, grow and mature. It's like the Environment is just Nurturing our Innate Ablities (Nature) for it to be more dominant. I mean for our Ability to grow and Flourish. We were not born already as an Active person, but the Environment as we grow changes, matures and develop, thus the Change in the Environment helps us to change for the better. The Nature that we have in us, our very own capabilities is being develop and enhanced by Nurture . I think those two must be just be set like that . Because for me you cannot enhance the Nature that you have and will be having if you wouldn't Nurture it. I do not have the perfect scientific explanation that the debators are seeking for, but I do just explain it the way I do understand the Situation.

Gay Couple

Newspaper reports announce that scientists are on the verge of discovering (or have already discovered) the gene for criminality, for alcoholism or the “gay gene”. If these advances are not to be abused then there will need to be a more general understanding of the fact that biology interacts with both the cultural context and the personal choices that people make about how they want to live their lives. There is no neat and simple way of unravelling these qualitatively different and reciprocal influences on human behaviour.

I have ran into these article about the Gay people. Is it about the Nature or Nurture? For me it is again both. The difference of Sex from Gender is that Sex is the biological differences, their sex organs. Whether they like it or not thy cannot take away or Forget their sex. It is in them almost forever. Gender describe as the characteristics that a society or culture delineates as masculine or feminine. Gender is what they prefer to be. This is where Gay and Lesbians line. It is their Preference in what Gender theywant to be. I do think that sometimes it is the Nurture that binds it. But being Gay is now hereditary so it is also in the Nature. This is what I do think about the Gay Issue in Nature versus Nurture.

Genetic Characteristics

Genetics is the study of the way living things pass characteristics to their offspring. Examples of some of those inherited traits are size, color, blood type, and weight. These are determined by genes that are present in the cells of all organisms. Genes determine most physical traits like body build, color of eyes and other inherited traits like color blindness and various diseases.

An Augustinian monk named Gregor Mendel, born in 1822 in the town of Heinzendorf, Austria, discovered the principals of genetics during the 1860's. His theories, proven today, said that there are two genes for each trait, one inherited from each parent. They can be the same trait or different. If they are different, one can be dominant and will be seen in the organism. If the gene is recessive, the effect is hidden and therefore not seen in the organism.

Different Traits of People

As we all know different people have different Traits and/or Characteristics. Their Characteristics differ in their Race or in their Nationality.
Japanese people tend to have a longer/oval facial structure with wider/larger eyes and more pronounced noses. Japanese women often put on thick makeup giving them a pale white complexion.
Chinese people tend to have rounder faces than both Korean and Japanese people. China is a huge multi-ethnic country unlike Korea and Japan (which are more ethnically homogeneous) making it much harder to differentiate or generalize.
Korean people tend to have flatter faces with higher/squarer cheek bones and smaller eyes with single eyelids (opposed to double). A high proportion of Korean women have had
cosmetic surgery somewhat confusing things.
• As for Filipinos, they say that Ancient Filipinos are short, flat-nosed and dark-skinned but the Filipinos nowadays have mixed with other Races because they marry Foreigners but the Genetic Characteristics of Filipinos nowadays are Tan or Brown in Color, have curly hair and Short in Height.

Although I’ve found the above a fairly reliable definition trying to guess based on facial structure alone seems to be pretty hit-and-miss in reality. The success rate greatly increases when you included other observable indicators such as name, language, behavior, hairstyle and clothing. According to more scientific studies both East Asians and Caucasians are more easily identifiable by facial features than others.

As for my Genetic Characteristics I have a Natural Curly hair, fair complexion, and a Dark brown Eyes that I Inherited from my Father who have a Foreign Blood in him. All of my Siblings Inherited our Genetic Attribute from our Father, as we Say in Filipino "Malakas ang dugo ng Tatay". We did not inherited much of our Physical Attribute from our Mother. Our Mother is Dark skinned while we are white skinned. But I guess I inherited from my Mother my nose which is Flat and my Height which is Short.
